“It's a great international race. Radio-controlled cars are exceptional and when we see them driving we realize both the passion put into these cars but also all the technicality and know-how acquired by the students. It is quite simply a superb event which is carried out with respect for the environment and the planet with hybrid-hydrogen cars ”.
"As the founder of Horizon, I recognize in this project the energy necessary to surpass oneself, the passion, the risk-taking and the search for challenges without which we would not exist. We are extremely proud of the work of these students and the dedication of these teachers who innovate and set an example "
“Thinking about innovation and tomorrow is of course thinking about our children and the new generations who are preparing today to enter working life. Within the group, we are attentive to personal development and training, but we must also look at what is happening outside our company or our field of activity. This is why I accepted to be the godmother of the 24H de Saint Jo in order to support this innovative educational project! "
The 24 Hours of Saint JO are comparable in many ways with the scale 1 car or motorcycle races. • Preparation of the car and equipment several months in advance. • The human factor: relay, concentration, fatigue, race management. • The mechanical factor: wear, breakage, repairs • Track conditions do not change even if the race takes place in a room. The team of teachers who have set up this project for so many years are pioneers because automobile and electric motorcycle competitions, I am sure, will develop considerably over the next 10 years!
You drew my attention to the model vehicle PACH2, a hydrogen electric hybrid vehicle with extended range. I learned with great interest the technical characteristics of this model vehicle, for which the electricity required for hydrolysis is produced by solar panels. I extend my congratulations to the students of Lycée Saint Joseph, who made it happen. This is an extremely innovative and interesting concept, particularly welcome with regard to government policy oriented towards energy transition.
A team of EMF apprentices will participate in this race of the 24 Hours of St-Jo 2019 and this represents a very strong motivation and collaboration impulse within the EMF, which certainly takes us out of our “ comfort zone ”and that's fine. “Our young people are so motivated that from 2020, the EMF aims to follow the magnificent example of the 24 Hours of St-Jo Race, a little more modestly it is true, by setting up the Course des 6 H de Friborg. This should take place in April 2020 and promised, an invitation will be sent to the organizing team of the 24 Hours of St-Jo! ”
Seeing such passionate students, you don't find that elsewhere, today I saw excellence!
“Our first duty is therefore to stimulate entrepreneurship and initiative in all areas. It is first and foremost the role of the school "It is since 2002 that Saint JO, carried by the North American educational impetus, offers young people this culture of business and to undertake it with the" 24 hours of Holy JO ”. For 19 years, talents, energies, creativity, passions, generosity, daring, pedagogy and high technologies have come together at Saint JO. It is every year, a whole school year to make the heart beat a high-tech and educational avant-garde event: "Les 24 heures de Saint Jo". What are the teachers doing here with this project with their students? They try their luck, they take up the challenge. To resignation, these young people and their teachers prefer action, the real one, that which contradicts all fatality. They start from their desires, express their talents and design this innovative and daring project. As long as the urge remains, all success is made possible. With each obstacle overcome in this course of a year to prepare for the event of a day and a night, the students have grown, they have become denser. In this experience, they contributed to building much more than a professional life, they gave meaning to their action.
The 24 hours of Saint JO were born in 2003 I created this project, very quickly joined by Daniel Kern, to ENHANCE technological education and allow young people to discover and love technology and all its facets. Be actors in a real project combining team spirit, technology and sustainable development and the school-business relationship, but also a "real life" school! These small cars packed with technology allow you to pass all the points of the Industrial Science and Technology program, they evolve with technology. Who would have thought in 2003 that our cars would one day be powered by hydrogen fuel cells? yet it is indeed the case! The 24 hours also make it possible to change the way of teaching, it is a reverse pedagogy, the teacher becomes a manager, the relationships are different, it is the students who are the actors and who move forward on their projects! Their motivation is impressive! This project changes all educational standards, such as energy, it is a bit the teaching of the future. My joy comes from sharing and living all these projects with the students. The 24 hours of Saint JO have a lot to do with it, never a routine with a dynamic common thread throughout the year. In short, these young people and their crazy ideas also make me stay young and especially love this great job!
We have been following what is happening at Saint JO for a very long time since it is a competition of electric and hydrogen vehicles, in scale models for the moment, on our side we are working on scale 1 models with the Green GT project on which one did work a lot to manufacture this hydrogen engine. Well done for your performance!
It is a unique adventure in Pas-de-Calais and it is a unique adventure in France to bring together so many players around mobility, it allows young people to get involved in an industrial project, a project that will help them. makes it possible to develop a high-tech vehicle. It is a first step in a business adventure!
"What a great achievement! Well done to you and your students! I would love to see the hydrogen vehicle occasionally. You are setting the bar high, but it is what it takes to advance technology. keep up the momentum next month at Le Mans. "
“Bravo again for your performance this weekend, which contributes to the promotion of hydrogen energy. Be certain that much has been progressing in France over the past 2 years on the knowledge and acceptance of this new energy! high school students is also key, because new skills must be developed to ensure France's place in this new economy. " "Congratulation !" Sincerely, Philippe PS: My friend Stanislas de Sadeleer will enter a “GreenGT”, fuel cell, at the next 24H of Le Mans (22/23 June 2013)
"Well done for your performance and maybe another time." Sincerely, Henri
The 24Hours de Saint Jo develop values such as teamwork which are highly sought after by companies these days, but also the spirit of innovation and creativity! It is unique!
Antoine, You are a former student of the Lycée & Campus Saint Joseph, in which you completed the course, second STI, BAC STI Mechanical Engineering Option Productique. Can you define your Former teacher, Thierry Maison in 3 words? • Passionate: he is totally invested in his projects. He loves technology whether it is to straighten a simple axis or understand a complex electronic problem. • Altruistic: he does not count and shares a maximum with everyone. He is attentive to any idea or proposal, even if it is far removed from his centers of interest. • Ambitious: He doesn't set limits for himself. He always manages to surprise us with new innovations and achievements.
